Warkworth and it’s environs is a lovely place – but rather spread out. A lot of perfecly comfortable properties are in the outlying areas and just too far away from the town centre to qualify for things like home delivery.
Not that there isn’t options. Delivereasy and Uber Eats operate in Warkworth, Matakana and Snells Beach, and grocery stores offer their delivery services to a fairly wide range of addresses. But what we found, as contractors for both Uber and Delivereasy, was that there’s a lot of places that are just too far away, or are just outside the boundaries of the traditional and existing delivery services.
We had a look at it all. We crunched the numbers. Here’s what we found.
- Grocery Stores vary in pricing for both products and delivery
- Pak’n’Save don’t do delivery at all
- New World does have a delivery service, with pre-selected time windows
- Woolworths has 2 delivery options! Their in-house delivery or Milk Run
- Milk Run is limited in it’s product scope, and the prices are far higher per item to cover the delivery – which is actually handled by Uber Eats!
